How to Make File Explorer Open in “This PC” View on Windows 10

By default, when you open File Explorer in Windows 10, it takes you straight to Quick Access—a view that shows your recently used files and folders. Handy for some, but if you prefer seeing your drives and main folders right away, you might want it to open in This PC instead.

1. Open File Explorer
   You can do this by clicking the folder icon on your taskbar or pressing Windows + E on your keyboard.
2. Click on the “View” Tab
   At the top of the File Explorer window, you’ll see the ribbon. Click on the View tab to open more options.
3. Select “Options” on the Right
   On the far-right side of the ribbon, click Options. This opens the Folder Options window.
